I am sure the Caps didn't party any harder or longer than most teams BUT the Caps partied with US the fans for two days, quite literally letting local people share their joy and it was all so spontaneous. THAT will be hard for any team to beat.

I went to Capitol One tonight to see twenty one pilots and I was sitting under the banner. I genuinely got choked up when I saw it in person for the first time.

On Wednesday, 29-year-old Sampson Coe posted a photo on Facebook of himself at the Antarctic Peninsula, his jacket unzipped despite the -5 Celsius temperature, to reveal a Capitals Stanley Cup champions T-shirt. A waddle of penguins is visible in the background, and Coe’s accompanying caption is perfect: “Travelled all the way to Antarctica just to remind the penguins in person that we got the cup!”

Maybe I'm looking through it with homer glasses but that sliver of white looks like snow to me... not a gap between the puck and the goal line.

I agree, its not the line, its a pile of snow.

I think it could be either snow or space between the puck and the line, which I assume is why they stuck with the call on the ice. If they called it’s goal on the ice I assume they would have stuck with that call as well

I remember it that they didn’t have the top down view so there was nothing definitive, I thought it was a goal but I thought Mcdavid had a goal where the puck was in the same spot a few days ago
