How is that 3rd line any weaker than the Laughton-Cousins-Read trio they started the game with?

Laughton is bigger and stronger than Weal and that line already gets owned..with Weal it would likely be worse.

I would have McDonald on there for sure.

Proud of the Flyers for making my first playoff game a win. Felt so good to be in an atmosphere where the team knows we believe in them and think they can win.

Neuvirth was solid. Manning actually made some good plays and laid some great hits. Schenn was a mad man.

It really looked like the team figured out how to breakout and move through the neutral zone. Only wish they had done it sooner.

Side note: I actually like Campo's cheesesteaks a lot. Pretty, pretty pretty good.

Campo's is delicious.

First up was Connor McDavid...
Then it was Patrick Buffoon...
Finally Tommy Wilson

Who will be the next poor soul to enter "Hitman" Manning's House of Pain???

Will it be TheRebelBully? Perhaps SolidSnake? How about the mighty Beef Invictus himself? No, my money is on the person who despises ManDog more than anyone...Striiiiiiiiiiiiiker!! Get ready, my friend. It will be a bumpy ride.

I'm not too worried. All I have to do is keep a puck near me and he'll be too busy pinching 100 feet behind me to ever get near. ;)

Also, to those who said during the game for Manning to do one great thing (or one great game) and that he should get an extension/re-signing for it, just look at what Holmgren did when Shelley scored against us. He scored 3 goals in 2 games against us and it caused us to deal with a ****** and long deal with Shelley. Manning may have had a really good game, but it doesn't erase all the other awful crap he's done for 90%+ of the season.

I wouldnt mind resigning manning to a cheap deal if we could somehow get streit the hell out of philly.

Why re-sign him, even with Streit being out?

Morin, Ghost, Provorov, MDZ, Gudas, Schultz and someone like Alt could step above Manning, especially since Alt can at least play right D and has shown to be a better D-man in the AHL than Manning. Not necessarily offensive, but defensively.

I think some are you are gonna just have to accept it that Manning's likely back next year. You don't play the guy this much if you think he's one of the worst defensemen in the league.

However I think the depth should be improved with MDZ coming back & Provorov very likely in contention for a roster spot next year making Manning's usage more realistic.

I'm expecting/hoping/wishing/praying he'll be just the 7th if he's back.

Like you said, MDZ and Provorov should make it nearly impossible for him to be in the top 6. I can't imagine him playing over MDZ, Ghost, Gudas, or Provorov. Schultz and Streit should be safe too but who knows... Ideally Streit gets fired to the moon in the offseason.
