In other words when they are basically 7 to 10 points back of a playoff spot and out of it in a month you want McDavid for that crucial game....

For that to happen, the Oilers would basically need to lose all four of their games between now and then, coupled with Calgary and Vancouver going undefeated in that same timespan.

Even assuming that all does happen, what then would be the point of McDavid skipping the ASG? If the season's already over (spoilers: its not), then there's really no point in him passing on the game to rest up, now is there?

It's not like we dont follow a team that gives us ample opportunity to be doom and gloom pessimists; there's really no point in inventing reasons to do so.
