I remember reading about this some time ago. Like November or something?

It'll definitely boost his status in North America. I think he looks much more like a 1st rounder than a 6th rounder at the WJC... One of the biggest steals of the draft if he commits to North American hockey.

This is a big reason why he fell in the draft. If this happens the Kings made out with a great draft day steal.

what's this guy's upside?

high

I'm sure more than a few teams knew he was good before the draft. One can only assume the "Russian factor" made the "6th best Euro skater" going in fall to the sixth round.

does anyone fully understand import player rules for chl

we currently have Mika Partanen

does this mean we will trade him or he will go back to finland

IMO its a great trade off

Mika is good but Kitsyn is a gamebreaker

Each team is allowed two import players, so Partanen can still remain on the team with the addition of Kitsyn. Seeing as how there are no other import players on St. Mike's roster, nothing should change.

Mississauga only has one Euro right now, they're allowed to have 2 Euro's on each team. Thus Miss won't have to trade anyone or make a spot for Kitsyn.

The top (or top 2) Chl team just got even better...

You had it right before, the top team.

They also have another overager spot available, this team will be scary after the trade deadline.

Kerby Rychel will be dealt to Windsor at the deadline for draft picks. That deal was done in the summer.

Any chance Mississauga wants Ellis than Percy has to be involved just to start and I am pretty sure that won't even scratch the surface of the asking price.

Also first round picks cannot be traded in the OHL. Wouldn't surprise me to see Foligno potentially head to Mississauga for picks.

Sweet. The Kings 2010 NHL draft is really looking like a great draft. Tons of upside we got. Guys like Forbort, Toffoli, and Kitsyn could all turn out to be really great for us in the future, as long as Weal.

what's this guy's upside?

Hard to say, the guy reminds me alot of Thomas Vanek and has certainly showed more grit in this tournament than I expected based on previous showings in the Super Series and Novokuznetsk Metallurg.

There was a thread about this a month ago. Good for both parts, Majors will be the team to beat in the OHL. Saginaw, Kitchener, Ottawa and Oshawa and is an outsider to the title.
