Where does his shooting percentage end up this season?
He didn't get a goal in the first game, but I noticed him picking corners instead of sniping chests. Scored three since then (although he frustrated us with the OT shot in game 2).

Over/under 10%

I'll say under, but we still probably won't have to attach Morin to him in a trade in order to clear cap room.

Amazing what a guy can do when he's not hobbling around in a walking boot all year. I'd heard from a good source that he'd had problems with both ankles last season and they were much worse than what was reported. FTR, I'd heard this from friends who met him after a road game in 2016. I'll give him a mulligan for last season and hope he's turned a corner and is healed.

Read should have no problem hitting 15 goals this season considering he had 11 in 79 games last season while looking like ass.

This is where depth can help, you want to limit Read's minutes, given his size and age, a heavy workload is almost a guarantee he'll break down. Same reason Hakstol wants Giroux off the PK.

I still hate how much of a complete lightweight he is and he'll never be a favorite of mine for that reason, but if he can hit the back of the net a few times that's better than most of the 4th line candidates.
