What's nice about being a pastor is if something bad happens that was your fault, you can just say it's part of God's plan.

Deadly COVID-19 spike after church event is 'unfortunate' but part of God's plan, says pastor

Travis Scott should have ordained himself and then everyone would be like, "Damn, sorry this happened to you, dude."
I mean you’ll still get criticized. Which is the way it should be. There’s no pass for bad behaviour.

Travis instead will go the Satanic route of lying and saying his fans are like family. Dumb cliche same as the pastor used, and absolutely meaningless.

People here just get triggered by religious language so the Satanic tag is obviously ruffled a few feathers around here, but trust me I’m not interested in a witch hunt. I’m interested in accountability, and Travis didn’t even apologize in his hour long interview. Obviously for legal protection as well, but damn that is some cold ass shit right there.

It just seems almost impossible that people weren’t left to die on purpose. I know people bring up The Who show that had casualties, but with technology being what it is today, the timeline looks so f***ed up for this.

Yeah I would. Fanaticism knows no bounds. I’m not some pro-religion guy, not to mention that the Satanic ideology is just a religion based on anti-religion.

Do you really think that over two thousand deaths is primarily a result of fanaticism? For how many years have people flown to Mecca by the thousands? You can't be serious. The way these events go haywire always have technical, boring failings that are far more important than people getting caught up in some sort of devilish trance that you're insinuating.

Left to die on purpose by who? You just mentioned Travis Scott being aware of legal components in his speech. Who do you think would purposefully leave people to die? And considering your posts, I'm assuming you think those same people intended for it to go down that way.

You’re telling me it’s just some boring cog in the system type failure when literally the show could have been stopped for 37 minutes after it was declare a mass casualty. The whole system can’t get one guy to literally just shut up and get off stage. Not only that but they had Drake do a mini set entirely after that was declared. In a world where I can send you a post instantly that makes sense to you? Okay.

And yeah people get stomped out at Mecca because of fanaticism. The fact that it’s been happening for thousands of years only makes it seem even more fanatic. Creating safe passages out of the Hajj may not be something Muslims are comfortable doing, but if that’s the case then yes their fanaticism transcends their need for safety.

Left to die by a sociopathic idiot. There’s a reason the FBI is investigating this. Buddy has been charged in 4 states already for inciting riots in the past. Of course to you it makes more sense to say it’s some technical and boring failure rather than seeing that it’s just more of an insight into what kind of people we choose to value and what it says about us as a society.

Blaming technical failures is a lot less scary than thinking someone idolized so heavily and marketed so heavily to kids could be f***ed up enough to get off on them dying for him.

Reading @holy's posts after recently reading about the social reaction to the Stones' Altamont concert is a wild convergence.
Yeah it’s a shame God hasn’t completely died off yet. If only. Next event can have 20 casualties between the ages of 5-10 and you guys will still keep nitpicking the religious and framing it as some sort of technical error.

Nobody's nitpicking anything. You are literally blaming a concert stampede on Satanism and saying people were deliberately left to die.

No one can explain with any good reason why the show went on for 37 minutes after it was made clear multiple people had died in the crowd. In 2021 that makes no sense whatsoever, so yeah until someone has some actual proof that there was a “technical error” which led to this catastrophe then yeah I’ll go with the Satanic themes pushed for decades by the music industry as a cause for concern.

This whole event shows the pitfalls of idolatry, especially when the headliner is acts like a cult leader who treats it like a badge of honour when kids get seriously hurt at his shows.

So again, nobody is nitpicking anything. You are explicitly saying this stuff with no sense of irony.

Son, what in God's good name are you on about?

'Early eyewitnesses' accounting stated that the crush was caused by the closure of the eastern part of Street 206, which forced pilgrims to travel up Street 223, colliding with a mass of people moving the opposite direction on Street 204.[113]
Alhaji Samaila Dabai Yombe, Deputy Governor of the Nigerian state of Kebbi, who was present at the incident, stated that the deaths happened due to a blockage of the route to Jamaraat Bridge. "What actually happened was that all the pilgrims scheduled to throw Jamrat at that time were channeled to one particular street. At a time we got to a certain point around 8:00am, a military vehicle was set across to create a barrier and then some of the Saudi soldiers were standing by, suggesting that you cannot go beyond that point. [...] About 5,000 people coming from the same direction were not aware of the road block in front, which resulted to a tight and stationary human traffic, which made it very difficult for us to even stand. So, we continued to squat to make room for fresh air while the temperature was about 47 degrees Celsius. [...] Pilgrims, in efforts to get fresh air, attempted to scale fences of tents on both sides of the road. Very few succeeded, while most people just succumb to the situation. It was at this juncture that we saw dead bodies piling up around us".[114]
Ishaq Akintola, a Nigerian Professor of Islamic eschatology, gave an eyewitness account of the disaster: "on that fateful day, we found out that some of those who had thrown their own stones made a U-turn instead of moving ahead to take a detour. They came through the route meant for entrance and not exit. They came towards us. They were in a very large group and the road was not spacious enough to allow a free flow of those of us coming to throw stones at the Devil and those who had stoned the Devil. The road could not take those coming and those going'

How does this have to do with fanaticism or Muslims refusing to create safe passages out of Mecca? How would that even be justified under Islamic doctrine? Do you think there'a stampede every year during Hajj?

Also, the Astroworld incident happened just over a month ago. Do you really think all of the details have come to a conclusion?

If you've got proof, don't hesitate to submit it. Travis Scott incites his crowds to do dangerous things. I know that. But why in the world would your instict go to 'he's satanic' instead of 'egomaniac douchebag' which uh, makes a lot more sense? If it was satanic, why does Travis Scott singularly appears to have a particular history of inciting folks to rush the stage, etc.? What makes you think he's not just an idiotic performer trying to hype the crowd? Getting off on them 'dying for him'? If Travis Scott was doing this with such satanic intent, how is this happening years after he's become famous and the numerous times where he's incited crowds to do dumb shit?

Do you think concertgoers were muttering about their love for Travis Scott and their sacrifice in their last breaths?

Atheism…lol.

Contributing nothing about the actual event that happened, just trying to get pot shots about religion in…lol.

Also @Spring in Fialta I don’t know much about the Hajj situation seeing as I didn’t bring it up, but yeah, throwing stones to cast away the devil and then having those stones hit other people is indeed fanatical behaviour.

Also I won’t get too much into what it means to give yourself to Satan but the reason this is happening to Travis is because even though you can gain what seems like the entire world, the rug will get pulled from you eventually. I don’t think this was a ritual per se, especially in the Hollywood description you’re giving of people chanting shit under their breaths, more of a culmination of piss poor behaviour that has been being pedalled by the music industry for decades.

It seems like everyone essentially agrees?

This happened because he was an irresponsible douchebag ...because he was influenced by Satan
This happened because he encouraged dangerous behavior ...as a satanic ritual
This happened because he valued money and fame over human life ...as Satan tricks people into doing

A bad thing happened. Some people think everything bad that happens is because of Satan because Satan is bad... moving along

Which is what I was trying to say. Satan is just a term. Even you gotta whisper it.
