How can something be extremely real as opposed to just real?
Extremely isn’t the opposite. It’s used to note emphasis.

Either way I retracted my statement, I’m not here to convert atheists into believers. Everyone is on their own spiritual path, I’ll leave it at that.

Where anyone is on their spiritual path is irrelevant.

You baselessly accused someone of being a satanic cult leader. You should retract the post for that reason, and that reason alone.

Lol he ain’t the leader. You have no idea how this stuff works, he’s a nobody.

Also you have no issue with his behaviour at the show? None? Really? Why can’t Satanic just mean ignorant of the truth?

I’m seeing that Live Nation wouldn’t allow him to stop the show, whatever the hell that means. If that’s the case I can assure you he ain’t the leader of shit.

Anyone who believes in God, etc. is ignorant to the truth....

Everyone is ignorant of the truth. Claiming to know what the truth is is just a conceit to convince ourselves that we believe the right thing.

So the principals of unity, care, calm and a lack of self indulgence are contrary to the truth? Okay den.
What does any of that have to do with believing in God?

Millions live their life that way without being religious. Also, the majority of religious people I know self indulge plenty.

There’s bad actors in every group. Anyone can say they are religious, but only God will judge that.

I just don’t get why people are trying to slam religious folks for having a visceral reaction to seeing children die en masse at an event steeped in Satanic/Occult imagery, which is headlined by a drug promoter who somehow manages to get marketed to children by mega corporations.

If it was a Christian festival promoting this kinda behaviour, with a performer encouraging kids to go into ecstatic states to the point where they begin to die, all while saying they’re Raging For Jesus, people would be rightfully outraged by these religious nut jobs and slam them for creating an environment where they’re taking advantage of impressionable kids.

I'm not just referring to the lyrics. For the past month I've been really into Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle and Dr. Dre's The Chronic. Aside from some of Kurupt's verses there's nothing I would consider impressive lyrically on those albums but the rappers still manage to be consistently entertaining and sonically pleasing which is more than I can say for Travis. I agree that the production on Rodeo is great but it doesn't really matter if Travis is the one on top of it.
Kurupt is unreal on some of those tracks, especially Doggy Dog World. But, agreed, mainstream early 90's west coast hip hop was never particularly impressive structurally lyrics-wise. It was the east coast resurgence led by Illmatic and Ready to Die that pushed innovative rhyme schemes and punchlines somewhat back to the forefront.

Not every rapper has to be Elzhi, Phonte, Black Thought, or Doom, all guys who I would say were lyrically among the top of their craft the past 15 or so years, but I do find most mainstream rap has been even further relegated into pop music.

How are any of those things linked together though? The issue was understaffed/lax security that allowed far too many people in, and arguably the performers own history of encouraging his crowds to get too rowdy and not stopping the show to get help fast enough. I don't see what the occult has to do with this tragedy.

I don't think if Christian fans were crushed because there were too many people in attendance that it would have anything to do with whether or not god exists.

It's because none of this is related to people getting tramped. Nobody is slamming religious folks. Actually, in this thread, it was the opposite.

I’d argue a culture centred around being self-centred does lead to allowing something like this happening. I know we all love music, myself included, but we give musicians passes to be some of the shittiest people imaginable because of talent.

Anyways, Travis did an interview with CharlamagneTg if anyone wants to check it out:

Argue how? Would you make the same argument for the 2000+ deaths in a stampede at mecca in 2015?

Yeah I would. Fanaticism knows no bounds. I’m not some pro-religion guy, not to mention that the Satanic ideology is just a religion based on anti-religion.
