if there is a team willing to pay Marner 11+ name the team. All this BS about Marner turning down offer sheets is him turning down Aho sheets. No team in the league would give a small, frail winger playing along a superstar with a 3-year track record 11+, and give up assets for the privilege...

There are other ways to move assets other than offer sheets. Just saying.

Either way. Play hardball. Like they did with Nylander. I’m sure it will work out fine.

Dubas’ job is to ice the most competitive team possible. If he can’t afford the .93 PPG winger... move the .93 PPG winger and get other pieces back.

Sitting him out would be an epic failure.

It should be noted in the season when JT had his second best point totals of 86 points, he only had 55 ES points, compared to 69 ES this year with Marner. The only reason he didn't smash his previous career highs this year is because of how little pp time him and Marner averaged compared to the other top players in the league.

Also, when can you think of another example where a great player who is supposedly carrying or inflating a lesser players numbers actually ends up with less points than that player? It never works that way.

Bro, 5v5 only mattered in 17-18........
In 18-19 Mitch had JT.... that's why.... just forget about Marner scoring 6 more points than JT's career high, and forget that career high came playing with Marner.
And please forget that JTs career high in goals was 39 (playing +1.40 min/game) before 47 last year.
Goals are all that matter and Marner had nothing to do with it...... like nothing at all.
It's all JT bro, ALL JT.
