A major difference would be the goal scoring. When Smith was drafted he had 22 goals in 72 games, Kastelic scored 47 goals in 66 games.

You are correct. He could be send to the ECHL.

Hopefully this pick pans out. We passed on some other good prospects that were younger. On a positive side the growth from season to season is worth noting. Kastelic had only 13 goals in 67 games, then the next season he had 23 goals in 71 games and this season he has 47 in 66 games.

Makes a lot more sense now. Dorion likes NHL blood ties. I think his real #32 was Foote as he was rated second to third round mostly.

47 goals and a captain seems like a decent pick. Can play pro this year so less developement in WHL needed anymore. Plays center.
