I actually really liked the Cervenka signing, and if he hadn't been injured for training camp, I think he'd have been a 40-50 point guy. (Edit: In an 82 game season, of course)

Sutter did leave a big mark on the team, but it was very mixed. His worst moves were failures of cap management, I think; he traded for Jokinen (which was a terrible idea from day one) which ended up screwing up the Flames' cap management for the end of that year and forced them to play with a short roster - not to mention how awful he was with the Flames overall. He then completely overcompensated for that by moving Phaneuf in an alleged cap-spreading move and got back a return that culminated with a bottom six centre.Feaster had some decent drafting. That's really it. For all his faults, the mark Sutter left on this team is still much bigger and better than Feaster's all these years later.
