What are you talking about?

We’re discussing ‘intervened’, which is your word to describe Linden’s actions. I didn’t use overruled once in that post.
Intervene:
come between so as to prevent or alter a result or course of events.

Overrule:
reject or disallow by exercising one's superior authority.

Spot the difference.

It’s clear we have two great players in Petey and Quinn.
Where does Benning/Wisebrod take the team now? Dow we move forward into the elite group of continuous cup contenders, or do we stay mediocre?
What changes can Benning/Wisebrod make to get us into that top group of teams?

So they were arguing about who wanted to draft Pettersson more, and Linden had to intervene to make sure that they drafted Pettersson.

All I've learned from these exchanges is that there are a handful of posters who have already made up their minds about an issue before they even hear the facts. Holding that degree of bias is astounding.

The fact remains that Glass was never ahead of Pettersson on the Canucks draft list ,though both players were highly regarded.

A narrative has since emerged that suggests the hockey department was divided on Pettersson. Brackett was in favour of taking the Swede. Benning was leaning toward Glass.
Benning rejects that version of events and while he isn’t exactly expansive on the subject, he said: “(Pettersson) was a unanimous decision.”..Ed Willes..Province
