Obviously looking to pay as little as possible. What's the lowest price you think a team would be willing to accept to take on Joseph? He's what I'd consider to be a solid 4th liner who is considerably overpaid, and can play 3rd line in a pinch.

Somewhat notable trade assets:
2024 2nd
2025 2nd
LW - Alex Formenton (MIA RFA)
D - Filip Nordberg (64th in 2022)
RW- Tyler Boucher (10th in 2021)
C - Zack Ostapchuk (39th in 2021)
D - Benjamin Roger (49th in 2021)
LW - Roby Jarventie (33rd in 2020)
G - Leevi Merilainen (71st in 2020)
D - Lassi Thomson (19th in 2019)

Not interested in trading:
1st Rounders
R.Greig
E.Sokolov
M.Sogaard
T.Kleven
Any other roster player

What would you ask the Rangers to take on Goodrow with zero retention?

A 1st right? Well so is Joseph

I get what you're saying but these's plenty of assets listed with various degrees of value. Get creative enough and you'll find something that works.

If in the end there's no takers then so be it.
Not a single asset on there worth taking thay big of a cap dump for that long.

Boucher is a busy
Thompson is a C prospect at this point
Ostapchul was good, but nothing crazy in the O last year, nothing screaming top6 potential

Boucher might have been taken earlier in the draft then most would like but he's definitely not a bust.

good luck.

everyone known Ottawa will want cap space.

there are 15+ other teams at/ near cap who have their own players making $3M-$5M for 1-3 years that they will like to unload too.

This team can absolutely not burn anymore assets. Keep him he's overpaid by a million.

3 million is not a big cap dump lol.

I could see a team like Chicago taking Joseph for a 2nd rounder. They're signing worse contracts.

But I don't think Ottawa really should do that unless they've got a bigger move done. Joseph isn't bad.

It is when the guy is at best a 4th liner / 13th Forward

Lol you don't know anything about these prospects then. No point in discussing it further with you.
I know enough to know that none of these guys have the upside to play top6 or top4D, and that no team will take a 3M 13th Forward for a POTENTIAL bottom 6er

Well he's better than that but whatever you say! You're the expert.

20pts in 60games, healthy scratch for the reminder of the other games... That is not more than 4th line / 13F stats

So you are wrong twice here. Well done. 20 pts in 60 games is a 3rd line pace. He is great on the pk as well. I am not saying he is a world beater or worth 3 million but your evaluation is terrible. You have no clue what league wide production looks like especially when the player plays special teams.

He was only healthy scratched when he missed a team meeting.

Try again.

Goodrow is signed for 4 more years at 3.65mil.

Joseph is signed for 3 more years at 2.95mil.

No one is giving up a 1st or any kind of prospect who has top 6F/top 4D potential to dump those assets and they aren't even comparable with their contracts.

I think your expectations are too high and it might be easier for you to move along to a different thread..

Wow thats terrible for the sens.
Well that's the point if you want a rebuilding team like the Hawks to take on 9 million for 3 years for a bottom 6 player they absolutley do not need or want.

Roby Jarventie:
"Has potential to become a top-six winger and a 30-goal scorer"

Zach Opstapchuk:
"Could be a solid top-6 contributor"

I look forward to your reply where you move the goalposts though.
