Just wanted to say that I thought this was a classy move by Looch who will be sorely missed next year. I have nothing but fond memories of his time in Boston. Among my favorites were his beatdown of gutless punk Mike Komisarek, his sweet pass on Nathan Horton's OT winner that closed out the 7-game series with the Canadiens in our Cup year and literally putting the team on his back and leading our comeback (props to PB as well) for the ages vs. the Maple Leafs in game 7 in 2013. Along the way, #17 has left an indelible impression on me as well as many others.

Best of luck in 2015 and should anyone other than the B's win the Cup, I'm hoping it's the Kings.

Damn, that's awesome. We forget that these players have lives outside of hockey, and it sometimes revolves around the city they play for (I know some have homes elsewhere for the offseason).

Respect to do that though.

I get the Globe and was surprised to see it. Great stuff. Love Lucic. Weird he's come and gone- still remember his big night in LA as a rookie when in his second game? he got a Gordie Howe Hat Trick.

Looking forward to Dougie Hamilton's as well.

Couple of classy guys going to miss them

I was at that game.... And the game he finally fought komisarek and whooped his ass after their numerous encounters with komisarek backing down. Will always love Milan. Just wish he didn't lose the fire he had when he was younger. Cross checking maxim Lapierre in the face is another moment I'll never forget. Love you Looch. Always will be a Bruin in my eyes.

Classy move. Really tough to see him go, but it needed to be done. He's going to be missed. Best of luck to him in LA.

Classy move by one of my favorite Bruins of all time. Lucic was meant to be a Bruin with his style of play just like Neely was.

All the best to Milan for the remainder of his career.

Very classy move by Looch.

Sad to see him go but I think it was best for him and the organization.
