Hamhuis and Tanev both outscored Sbisa on their own last year (Tanev nearly double, and Hamhuis by more than double), while both playing fewer games.

Like, you actually genuinely think that Luca Sbisa is going to be a 45+pt defenseman in the NHL?

I personally would prefer higher standards than "at least he's not as bad as MacT"!

He's definitely the early favourite for the 2016 Whipping Boy award; but there is still plenty of time for Prust, Dorsett, or Baertchi to catch up.

Obviously our situation is worse.....Edmonton signed Nikitin out the Blue Jackets as a UFA.......Benning had a whole season to assess Sbisa, and could have qualified him and signed him to a one-year deal as an RFA, then decided what to do next spring....instead he gave him a three-year deal at $3.5m per

*KEY* difference is...Mike Richards is a "has been" (and one of the reasons for the Kings success in the post-season in the past) while Pizza man is a "never was".

You're just overreacting because sbisa had that one turnover in the preseason

Sbisa's contract is pretty much unquestionably the worst in the NHL for someone who has never been an above-average (or even average) player.

Considering we actually used Kesler's trade value to acquire Sbisa, that was unquestionably worse.

honestly, thats what blows me away the most. hes not even good at playing physically. he just exists

Iced the puck about 3 times when he wasn't pressured and had plenty of time to make a better pass. One of the icing caused the 4th line to be stuck in the defensive zone too.

Benning bit the bullet in Vey, so not so sure he does the same for Sbisa. I can see him riding this one out especially since he likely thinks Weber is worse and after Weber we have nothing (except Biega, but he's not NHL caliber to Benning for some reason).
