One of the better games they played in awhile. National broadcast game = manufactured parity. Never saw the first two penalties the Rangers took and it was clear once the Rangers took the lead they weren't getting another PP. League stays sucking on the NYR fanbases teat milking those ratings.

Finally getting the first goal of the game was huge. Especially for Kane. Was this the first time the Rangers lead a game since he got here? Either way, they all played alot looser and it showed after.

Schneider looks tired. Not a great game by Mikkola either, but Schneider can use a few days off IMO. He has been struggling to get the puck out. First full season, looks like he's hitting a bit of a wall.

The cavemen celebrated their victory over the tribe of capital letters with a massive feast, complete with roasted meat, lentil stew, and plenty of bread baked by Breadman himself. The sound of tribal war music echoed through the valley as everyone danced and sang in celebration.
Mika and Panarin led the charge in preparing the feast, ensuring that everyone had their fill of nutritious and delicious food. Meanwhile, Trouba entertained the crowd with his impressive feats of strength, lifting large boulders and felling trees with ease. Igor stood guard, ever watchful for any potential threats that may arise.
As the night wore on, Patrick Kane took to the center of the celebration and showed off his impressive skills with a stick and a ball. He had fully recovered from his malnourishment and was now back to his former self, dazzling the crowd with his speed and precision.
Vladimir Tarasenko, who had been instrumental in the battle, was also there to partake in the festivities. He regaled the crowd with tales of his past victories and demonstrated his skills with a bow and arrow, hitting targets with ease.
Gallant, the wise leader of the cavemen, presided over the celebration, his presence commanding respect and admiration from all who were present. He gave a rousing speech, thanking everyone for their hard work and dedication in the battle, and praising their courage and bravery in the face of danger.
As the night drew to a close, the cavemen gathered around a roaring fire, their bellies full and their hearts content. They knew that they had achieved a great victory, and that they would forever be remembered as heroes in the annals of caveman history.

Ill repeat....Great start, lousy finish. This team hasn't given a complete 60 minute effort in weeks and its troubling. No reason this game should have ended up so close
They stick check in front of Shesty when he really needs his mates to plow people down. Fox letting that Cap skate from the side of the net to right out in front has been a recurring theme with the dmen. Miller was guilty of that in another game. This stuff can't happen once the playoffs start. Igor threw Dowd's stick away earlier. He's not getting protection.

Does the 3rd not count or something?
It matters when you put it into context. We were up 4-1. Almost all teams let up. We literally beat the shit out of them in the first two periods. It was clear as day the rangers stopped playing in the third.

I get complaints about them taking their foot off the gas but that’s literally it.

This was a very good game by the NYR. What they showed is they can out play the opponents when they want to.

Team win by more than a goal (this was a one goal game) all the time without letting the other team back in. We were a couple of saves from Shesterkin from blowing the lead completely.

Drury has really handicapped this hockey team….

We have zero forward depth-, someone goes down who do we bring in Jonny Brodz?
Same f***ing shit as last year

Right now - We have no defenseman depth either .

This is a thin squad

This was a one goal game for like the last 8 mins of the game. Igor did his job when we needed him to and we won.

This is the blueprint of what we did last season.

Just take a f***ing breather and watch this team f***ing cook.

Also good teams let bad teams comeback more often than you think.

Rangers blow the doors off the Caps for 1.5 periods before "game management" gives them 4 straight powerplays and you guys are losing your shit over the Caps looking better in the 3rd as a result. Never change.
Caps getting 4 straight PP's means bad defensive coverage?

Not upgrading Ben Heartburn was a big mistake...

They just need to make the playoffs, which is almost all but assured at this point. Then they can call up whoever they want. Weren't you the guy that was also saying that Adam Fox is in decline when he's having his best statistical season (based on regular AND advanced analytics) of his career? Take a chill pill.

Ottawa. Kane’s first home game, we scored first. It was a KREIDER breakaway.
