If Kunitz was actually going to miss the game, I'd imagine they'd put someone they actually think would play on that line for the game, i.e., not D'Agostini, and on his off-wing, no less.

Could it be simply one of those "maintenance day" players get from time to time

Pretty light week ahead for the Pens

Bylsma: Neal skated on his own. Bennett resumed practicing. Kunitz had a maintenance day.

Neal skated on his own? Does that mean he didn't need the little penguin anymore? That's good, then.

Crosby, Malkin and Letang stayed on the ice for 45 minutes after what was a long practice. Malkin practiced one-timers extensively.

AND THEN HIS ARM FELL OFF

Its ok. He's a cyborg anyway. They'll just replace that arm with another.

Unfortunately his programming has an unfixable bug in it forcing him to make ill advised passes. Apparently the government created it and the healthcare website at the same time.

It probably took the whole 45 minutes for Letang to make a pass that Geno could actually one-time. :sarcasm:

it's like that time in the second grade when two kids spent three hours after school trying to help me pronounce THREE and TREE differently. they whipped my insolent, immigrant tongue into shape.

Ha ... this is good. Very good. Well, not the arm falling off, but staying on the ice so long after practice to do more practice. Not the first time Sid has stayed over to work with Letang on his shot, but glad to see Geno there as well.

I doubt we'll see an improvement in Letang's passing ability to Malkin for that one timer.

As long as there are reflective surfaces, Letang will never be fully focused on the game at hand.

I think I recall Despres being better at it last year.
