Badiashile and Disasi both with a bad game but at least Disasi has a goal to make it up.

And El Bilal Toure will score more than 12 goals this year as a 19 year old if healthy.

Disasi almost scored the winner in extra time. Wow. Against his former team.
Diop helping for Monaco. Nice minutes for him.

Guys to keep an eye on in the Lorient Strasbourg game (currently 0-1) : Enzo Le Fee for Lorient, magical little midfielder (born 2000) and Mohamed Simakan for Strasbourg, strong RB (2000 also).
Simakan is one of the brightest prospect at RB, and can play CB as well. Monaco among others are after him.
Le Fee is wanted by multiple teams including Monaco again, as well as OM and Lyon. He's excellent technically and an incredible passer. He's more of an 8 than a 10 but can play both.

I'm not watching Nimes/Brest (2-0 currently), but Irvin Cardona of Brest is making some strides. He should have a good season. We've been waiting for him to finally break out for years now (he's a 97), and it could be the year. He's a tall technical striker, with finesse and accuracy.

Le Fee's 2nd half is excellent. Simakan has been strong defensively, but needs to dare more offensively.

Great pass by Le Fee to start the break and it ends up in Lorient's 3rd goal. 3-1 now.

Lens is back in Ligue 1 and that's some great news. Amazing fans. City of 13000 people and last year, in Ligue 2, they averaged 26000 fans at home.
Nice is hosting them this afternoon, match about to start.
You should keep an eye on Amine Gouiri (2000) obviously for Nice. Claude Maurice (98) is an exciting young player too (LW) and Bambu (97) is supposed to have some nice potential but so far hasn't been as good as advertised (CB).
For Lens, Michelin (1997) was once hyped as a seriously good RB, injuries and Toulouse mess sent him to L2, but he had a great year last season. Biggest talent to keep an eye on is Cheick Doucoure. Amazing player in midfield (born 2000).

Lens gets a penalty out of a bogus handball call against Dante. If VAR is useful for this, we might as well get rid of it.

EDIT : at least the feel good story here is that Kakuta scored on the penalty. Him, coming back to his academy team after 10 years of roaming everywhere. Him the former starlet, hyped to be the next big thing and who only had an average career after his desastrous Chelsea signing.

Nah I don't like it. Dante's arm is in a natural place and Ganogo just shot at his arm from 3 meters. Nothing he could do.

It was close to him the shot but his elbow is in like chicken position. I like the call. If he tucked it in there’s no call.

But frankly that isn't a penalty to me. When you don't make a move to block the ball, when there's no willingness to handball it, it's not a penalty to me (I know it is per the new rules).

Ferhat is a great passer too
Had an assist and a hockey assist on his 1st L1 game and was L2’s best passer

Here is Gouiri's second goal :

It's crazy when you think about it. EVERYONE knows Gouiri is a special talent, even after his big injury.
EVERYONE could see he should have played for Lyon.
Lyon is now selling Dembele, Depay and Aouar, so OBVIOUSLY they need offensive players.
Gouiri has produced excellently everywhere he's been.

And yet, they sold him for 8M€.
