Malgin needs to pass waivers too and has a much longer NHL resume than either of those guys.

I understand both of those things before I said send him down.
I mean I don't mind Malgin on the team, but not at the expense of someone like Hunt.

That's an option... But I'd rather have the extra cap $2M in cap space to make moves later. Who knows... Maybe this team is in great position by Feb and we want to add to the roster. Crazier things have happened and the flexibility is probably worth more than some low pick.

To my understanding all these tweeners are on two-way deals, it has no baring on the probability of whether they'll play in the nhl or not.
