There you go. That ape jumping out of a fire to attack looked a bit to heroic so now i made him look like a monkey in a fire jumping around and doing nothing heroic...

Never posted in these topics.

I'll admit to being a True Blood fan, thanks to my girlfriend getting me into it.

They're in their final season, but I have the feeling they had planned TWO more seasons. And that they just went through the material for the first of those two in 4 episodes, with the "big bad" that appeared in episode 1 meeting his end last week and important characters dying every show pretty much.

Also liked what I saw of Breaking Bad, I'm guessing I'll be watching a marathon of that when TB's through.

My favourite series/universe of all time, though? V. That cheesy ass 80's series with the Aliens invading Earth. Love it. Have it. Re-watch it regularly. Loved the recent remake too, hate that they cancelled it abruptly and it didn't have an ending.

Last movie I saw was the new Transformers. I think that people expected too much of it, it's Transformers, I didn't expect a litterary classic...

Next I will see will be the new Apes, and the Apes franchise is my favourite movie franchise.

My summer must see TV.

Big Brother
The Last Ship
Falling Skies
Under the Dome

Another great classic movie comedy, "The gods must be Crazy".

You will laugh.

I'm really enjoying The Last Ship.

How are Falling Skies and Under the Dome?

I see you also post of the superherohype forums. (I don't have an account there, just a lurker).

I find comic book nerds extremely anal about comic films. I've also never seen a bigger group of flip floppers in my life. Hilarious to see the same posters defend and ooze over Nolan's Batman trilogy now trying to nitpick every flaw in order to anoint the new shiny Batman flick as the greatest thing ever. I find their blind trust in Snyder completely unfounded considering that MOS was poorly directed. It had the potential to be such a great film, but the pacing, editing and dialogue were poor. The underlying themes of the film were great (especially the Plato's republic theme) as was the visual, but the rest of the movie was extremely disappointing.

It's funny to see them pick apart Nolan's "editing", yet overlook the mishaps that Snyder had in his direction of MOS. Based on the first film, I don't have very high expectations for MOS's sequel.
It's a lot like this forum, there are several hundred active posters and as such they sample a bell-curve distribution in intelligence, wisdom, and manners.

A lot of people now hate Christopher Nolan because he was propped up as some sort of creative diety in the period 2008-2012, which led to a backlash among people who didn't like the exaggerations and even mores among contrarians.

The MoS sequel is being scripted by Chris Terrio, he wrote Argo, he's not the person who scripted MoS. So the dialogue should be better, probably won't sound like a passive 12 year old boy trying to be cool.

Damn if anybody has a blind trust in Snyder, they've sure picked the wrong horse to back. The guy is all style over substance. And the Destruction Porn in Man of Steel almost made me swear off super-hero flicks(until Amazing Spider-Man 2 came in and it was Worst genre movie I've seen in the last ten years).

ASM2 is the worst movie I've seen this year. The movie opens with a scientist in his 40s beating up an expensive, trained assassin twice his size in his late 20s in hand-to-hand combat, and it gets worse from there.

Go watch better movies. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is the best sci-fi/fantasy blockbuster of the year. It'll rinse the bitter aftertaste of ASM2 from your mouth.

Apparently, Boyhood and Snowpiercer are very good, but they're not playing anywhere near me.

James Garner passed away at age 86 - Rockford Files etc. like how he drove that Firebird - did a lot of the driving himself - those 180's etc. he will be missed

I agree James Garner will be missed. That spin move was called the "Rockford" in the stunt movie industry. May he rest in peace.

Cool - he actually taught some of the Rockford TV series stuntmen that move and other Stunts - he was that good of a driver

Falling Skies is still good but on the verge of "Jumping the Shark". The next couple of episodes will determine its fate.

Under the Dome has been good with some interesting twists in the plot.

This is my exact feeling. The movie was pretty, but God damn, there was nothing there. The way the story was set up, the movie had a lot of potential, but man was it carried out crappy.

Went to see "SexTape" yesterday. Parts of it was really funny but all in all, not that good of a movie.

Seeing Cameron Diaz in various states of undress is clearly it's saving grace.

The one with Mel Gibson? I love the movie so damn much. I rarely watch comedies but I've watched this flick over and over.

Just finished watching it. Very good and funny as hell. I love the cast of Hollywood actors and country music stars making quick appearances. I caught a bunch and after looking at the credits, I realized I missed a few others too.

Back when the movie came out they made a video of the flick with several in the cast singing including the country artitsts and Mel.
