let me also state that IF the stars were to retire hatcher's number, i'd buy front row tickets and consider it a religious experience...

i just don't feel the need to lobby for it like i do jere and sergei. it will be a crime if they don't both go up to the rafters with mo.

Modano is the only player I'd have a conniption if he didn't get his number retired. I'm also of the thought of, **** it, in 75 years and we need those numbers again, unretire them. Zubov and Lehtinen (and Hatcher (and Nieuwendyk)) were all very very important to the success we had in the late 90s. You are doing this for the fans. The ones who have been here through the thick and thin. No Stars fan would complain if Zubey or Lehtinen's number were retired. Let the those guys/fans have their night. If we had a 6-12 team NHL, both of their numbers would have been already retired IMO
