Lehtera, who lately has been on the Flyers' fourth line with Scott Laughton and Matt Read, said coach Dave Hakstol wants him to play "steady defense and keep it simple and win the battles. Play smart in the defensive zone and on the PK."
Hakstol called Lehtera "such a constant presence in all the little things he does, the important areas of the game. It starts with his intelligence and his competitiveness. And when you add the consistency he brings, he's just a real effective player regardless of the combination of the forwards we have him with."
