I've been advocating attempting to acquire Chris Stewart, a Toronto boy, who had a down year last season but was great the year before. He'd be a solid guy to have on the 2nd line and completes that line, IMO.

I like the look of this lineup

Adding one of Del Zotto or McBain if we move Franson would be a good addition.

Would also bring another veteran 4th liner in case of depth. Maybe one of them:

Dustin Penner - Very big, good skill set, can play up and down the lineup. 2 times Stanley Cup winner.

Colin Fraser - Can play both center and wing, can bring a bit of everything on the 4th line, 3 times Stanley Cup winner.

Todd Bertuzzi - Ontario boy, size and still pretty decent skills, can bring some great leadership on the 4th line.

if we could sign penner on a 1 year deal i would be ok with trying him with kadri and lupul. i think he is better then what we have. i wouldnt make an extended commitment to any of these guys but on a 1 year deal its worth a shop. malone is another guy for 1 year i would be willing to give it a go.
