Looks like Rechlicz failed at trying to stand out for the Caps

Quick claim him on waivers!

Honestly I don't remember how well he played he spent too much time fighting and taking dumb penalties.

Curious to see who anyone picks up off waivers. I think a lot of teams are tight with the cap and not sure we'll see too much movement.

How long until we blame thornton for not following him down there and fighting him for taking liberties in the preseason?

How long does the waiver claim period last? In other words, when will we know if Johnson cleared waivers?

Any info appreciated.

Johnson will be on waivers until tomorrow at noon eastern. Waiver period is 24 hours or 48 hours when initiated on the weekends. I'm not sure why guys waived today aren't on for 48 hours, might be because the season hasn't started so they're all 24 hours.

Thank you for the information.

Hope he clears, and from this corner, I hope the Bruins can move Jordan for "something coming back."

Think weekend waivers is gone. All 24 hours now (at least I think I remember that)

We have a winner !!

Changed in the last CBA. League office is now open 7 days a week so waivers is 24 hours no matter what day they are put on.

Office use to be closed Sunday's - hence the old 48 hours.

so....29 other teams felt Caron outplayed him too and wanted no part of him??:sarcasm:

Liked his game, I`ll leave personnel decisions to those with more experience than I, I thought JC looked very good in the games I watched him play

Honestly I think both would have cleared but do think Caron was the riskier player to waive.

I have a feeling he'll be back sooner rather than later....even before Spooner. His experience and ability to play either wing and defence, too, gives him a better chance as a first call up.

I think Spooner only comes up if a center is injured. And even then it isn't a given (if Soderberg gets to where he can slot into center).

yeah and Lindblad looked very comfortable centering the Merlot line in the preseason so I could see him getting a callup over Spooner if Campbell had to miss games.

I agree that Spooner only comes up as a centre (for our Canadian friends :)). No expert but I believe they will try Ryan at center *before* trying Soda Pop in that role, even though the latter is a "natural centre."

I really, really want to see what Spooner can do. Realize it was training camp, adrenaline, etc. etc., but he was just flying out there with all kinds of speed & creativity. Very fun to watch. :handclap:
