Bernier **** the bed. Face it.
What in that quote was defending Bernier? You might want to take your crusade somewhere else.

Bernier had a terrible start to the season, but Reimer/Sparks would not win 100% of the games he was in the net for. So they are not a 100 point team.

Face that....:shakehead

Of course we're not a 100 point team, regardless of who's between the pipes.

However, it's entirely plausible to suggest that we would be holding down a playoff spot right now if not for the putrid goalkeeping performances we had from both our goaltenders early in the season, and Bernier's performance overall.

Our record is not at all reflective our play so far this season, with the exception of maybe two games (in Detroit and Winnipeg).

We all know that holding down a playoff spot in December means **** all in Leaf land.

Most impressive thing? High Danger Scoring Chances For: 7. Against: 2. Wow.

25-17 in the faceoff dept is pretty good, too. As is the 39-25 5v5 Corsi.

We didn't have a single player that had a negative Corsi. The whole line-up was playing consistently, to the system.

There is no doubt -- this is winning the right way.

This x 1000.

Winning the right way is the sustainable way to success. Not icing a shambled mess train wreck losing team to get a high pick.

The msle approved a 3-5 year rebuild

The problem is babcock. The pain he was. Referring to was a pain of Mediocrity

I don't think they agreed to 3-5 years, their is no way ownership wants a rebuilding year during our centennial. I expect them to aggressively go after Stamkos this summer.

Pretty decent game I liked Bozak's jump he was fired up this game and he and Kadri delivered on the shootout. I also for the most part liked Phaneufs game he was very physical not always getting a huge hit but just manhandling NJ down low a lot.

Sparks was also good but he absolutely should be going down if Reimer and Bernier are healthy, I really like how Babcock just cuts off drama before it starts.

I'm a Habs fan but I gotta say, that was one hell of a great game tonight. Extremely exciting from start to finish!

2nd game with the new lines. First game the lines ended up 1.Kadri 2.Bozak 3.Froese 4.Spaling. Let's see what happened this time.

1.Komarov 21:15 - Kadri 21:15 - Holland 19:40
2.VanRyk 17:23 - Bozak 18:19 - Parenteau 17:33
3.Grabner 15:12 - Spaling 14:49 - Winnik 10:09
4.Mathias 8:18 - Froese 14:11 - Boyes 10:53

so looks like the top 2 stayed in order but the bottom 2 flip flopped....but maybe all the penalties screwee it up:

Even Strength

1.Komarov 16:34 - Kadri 17:02 - Holland 15:38
2.VanRyk 13:08 - Bozak 13:57 - Parenteau 13:18
3.Grabner 9:09 - Spaling 9:27 - Winnik 9:07
4.Mathias 6:38 - Froese 8:41 - Boyes 7:11

so same thing.

and the special teams just because:

1.VanRyk 4:15 - Bozak 4:23 - Parenteau 4:15
2.Komarov 3:47 - Kadri 3:55 - Holland 3:55
3.Mathias 0:00 - Froese 3:02 - Boyes 3:42
4.Grabner 0:07 - Spaling 0:07 - Winnik 0:48

PK

1.Grabner 5:56 - Spaling 5:15
2.Mathias 1:40 - Froese 2:23
3.Komarov 0:54 - Kadri 0:18
4.Winnik 0:14 - Holland 0:03

Kadri seems to be getting the tough assignments and the majority of ice time.

Babcock is relying on Kadri a lot more than the other C's

The Leafs showed a lot of discipline against the trapping Devils taking the safer plays dumping and clearing the puck repeatedly. That 3rd period was played hard and I like winning but man that was some boring hockey.

Good fun game to watch.....watching Rielly at the end of the 3rd and OT and seeing just how much his quick transition affects the game makes me smile as when he plays with talented players just how scary we will be 3on3.

Kadri with his sick hands .....did they ever find the jock strap?
