Appreciate the effort, but a few of those rankings are head scratchers for sure.

I value some guys over others and really dislike some. I knew some would be

To each their own, I won't criticize too much as I know the time and effort put into these lists and I'm not willing to do one, especially 40 deep.

I will ask about Dzierkals though. I'm not sure if he'd make a Top 40 for me, and you have him at 15.

Couldn't cut it in the AHL and sent to the East Coast (still with very average numbers). Then struggled in the KHL. While a guy like Mikhayev (Top 10 for me) has excelled, yet he's ranked below on your list.

It was more an age thing, and I didn't love having Mikheyev on this list to begin with... I've also been high on Dzierkals for a while

So they're basing their opinion on a 6 game sample size VS the best team in the league?

No, but I take a player more seriously if they perform in the playoffs over the regular season. Down the road maybe Sandin becomes better but atm Liljegren is better.

Sandin. I don't think it's really very close. Hope i'm wrong because Sandin is very good. If others are better than him. win-win.

But Sandin did perform in the playoffs. To the tune of 10 points in 13 games, playing upwards of close to 30 minutes a night (leading the defence). He had a few tough games vs. the top team in the AHL. He ran out of gas, that's what happens when you're 18/19 playing huge minutes vs. Men.

Voted for Liljegren, Sandin I think is the safer prospect but consider Liljgren to have a higher upside. With that said I feel like 1 of the goalies might actually be #1, and maybe the other #2.

Sandin did produce on the scoresheet, but on the ice, Liljegren was the better player.
Also, point totals isn't the only that indicates if a player performed. Sandin had rough games before that round too.

Sandin is a great prospect, but as I said before, his point totals are really influencing people's opinions on him. Liljegren is much further along in his all round game.

If they're calder eligible, I believe they should be on the list.

I have Mikheyev at #3 on my list. Guy was one of the best players in the 2nd best league in the world and not on a top-team to help. Based on highlights, stats, and analytics the guy seems like he'll make a nice impact in our top-9 as soon as next season.

Who is mark leaf? And why is his twitter opinion so valid? Just seems like a regular fan I’m sure you could find a regular twitter person who will say sandin is ready. Why is this guys opinion more valid?

Too tough to call this one. Sandin Lilj and Woll are all worthy. I think I will go with Lilj and his readiness for the vote but it's tight. Sandin may be better down the line.

Really depends how you evaluate prospects. NHL readiness (Lil) or potential ceiling/upside (Sandin, IMO). No wrong answer here.

He watches basically every Marlies game, and writes about them.
I would say his opinion is more valid then others who watch casually.
