The Leivo snowflakes in this thread are pretty funny. Crying over a guy who didnt perform well enough to earn an everyday spot.
When did he play?

When did he play?
I'll let you review his 2016-17 numbers here

Didn't exactly set the world in fire in his AHL stint. Melt away.
Did he suddenly become bad at hockey? Because I'm seeing a close-to-ppg just last season in the AHL, as well as impressive playoffs production.
Leivo was sent down to the Marlies coming off a long injury stint. And yes, while the stats in those 5 games are not good, I don't feel it's fair to just write him off based on it.
What's working against Leivo right now is that our forward corps has been extremely healthy thus far this season. Just needs to have patience and he'll make his way into the lineup.
Leivo and Carrick were our main stars in the Marlies playoff push last year. Just out of good faith, Leivo should get a minimum 5 game sample try out. He played pretty well last year during his 12 games. If I recall he got something like 5 goals in 5 straight games?
We have nothing to lose. As of right now we are one of the bottom 5 teams.

How dare you bring logic into the conversation.

I'll give Leivo a shot with Matthews. Matthews could use a big winger along the boards.
Brown looks good one game and kind of not good for 3 games. Hyman is Hyman. I have come to terms that Hyman will be tied to Matthews hip for the rest of his life. If Hyman gets injured, Matthews will probabaly be benched
Leivo has good shot and knack for scoring goals and can be good along the boards
Not that I would ever hope someone gets injured... but I feel like it's going to take something like a Hyman injury for them to be separated. When that happens eventually, Matthews will probably score a ton of goals with his new line mates and then there will be no more denying what is painfully obvious to almost all Leaf fans.
For Leivo to play someone has to come out, and the wingers who might come out can do everything Josh can do and more. He's just another Holland, Frattin, McKegg
