I'm not blaming the refs for this. No excuse to blow a 3-0 lead on home ice.
It's easy to blow a lead like this if one team is basically playing however they want and the other team can't do ANYTHING physical because if someone goes down (ORLOV) it's a penalty.

If I'm the press, my first question to Keefe is -- "why on earth would you put Brodie and Willy out at the end of the game when even the doltiest fan with cursory knowledge of the team would be able to tell that was a stupid decision"?

Worst PK/PP combination I’ve seen in recent memory.

It’s like they know they won’t score on the PP and won’t keep the puck out short handed. Mental midgets.

Must say, JT + Nylander out there to close a game is quite the decision

Especially when Nylander was just out there to kill the penalty

Leafs gave this game away in the last five minutes. They collapsed At the worst possible time. They lost With bad coaching decisions, bad special teams and bad defensive coverage and awareness

Inacceptable. Usually this game ends with a W yet we lost stupidly.

Refs did everything in their power to get the Canes to tie that game and it worked

Would be nice if Samsonov can hold a rebound when we need him. He got outplayed by the goalie on the other side.

What happened to our PP, was it too based on AM and his scoring... because its been as crappy as his goal draught.

Reilly came back and took that spot
It was on a role when he was injured

Keefe then gave back that role back to Reilly

Another f***in* blown lead

Somebody do the math.. how many blown leads is that this year now

And don't even get us started about how many blown leads over the last 5 years... they gotta be #1 in the entire league for this

On a role against shit teams + Matthews was actually doing his job

The pp failing is mostly on Matthews. When your biggest weapons shits the bed, it’s hard to overcome it

Tough game. Orlov dives their way towards gift pps, ours can’t score, and we let one get away. Carolina had no business getting points in this one but we let them take it. Not a good night for Brodie, again.

Tough when Marner and Matthews aren’t playing lol. Really, no idea what happened to him but he is doing nothing out there. Pretty much the worst I’ve ever seen him.

Carolina a very beatable team in the playoffs.
