People might recall in Game 1 when Kadri was chirping their bench, Babcock went over and said something that radio interpreted as cool it.

Ya you're going to bench the guy who scores and is almost alone showing any jam in the game. If he did that and we lost people would be all over Babcock "how could he bench the guy who's...". Come on.

He didn't need to bench him. Kadri had been on the ice for 4 shifts in the third without incidence. Played great all four shifts. Babs is meticulous in his line matching and keeping players away from opposing players that he wants to keep them away from. He started the game with the Tavares line taking the faceoff and immediately skating off the ice because he didn't want them out against who they were out against. So keep playing him, and keep playing him away from DeBrusk.
