Paul LaDue is a PERFECT fit for that blueline up in Toronto. How about trading Holl, Kerfoot and the other scrub to the Isles for Pageau and play him on 3rd pair? Like the Tor-NYI thread?

Not even the press box. Trade a ppg forward so we can carry a 2nd or 3rd call up in the AHL….Trade an elite forward so they can carry extra guys in the pressbox?
Sounds like a plan.

It’s a broken record at this point, but the leafs need to cut ties with a big salary guy to st least breathe a bit with their cap.
I believe Ottawa were fairly pleased with Larsson in camp, so would probably prefer to keep him as their own #8 or #9D. If a lefty gets injured he may actually be the first call up.Some possible targets:
- Brad Hunt
- Kevin Connauton
- Max Lajoie
- Noah Juulsen
- Madison Bowey
- Gavin Bayreuther
- Dennis Cholowski
- Nicolas Beaudin
- Jacob Larsson
- Sean Day
- Lucas Johansen
Now, that is a fact! They would have to trade depth for depth. They can't pick someone up unless someone goes the other way, as they're at the 50-contract limit.
Since when? He was sent down along with Grant Hutton. He’s behind Robin Salo, Sebastian Aho and Grant Hutton on the depth chart. Thus that would make him a 9th or 10th option. The scary thing is that he’s about dependable defensively as Justin Holl who’s getting consistent NHL minutes up there in Toronto. He'd be a nice fit as a 10th-11th dman candidate like we're looking for.
Of course, he's in your team's actual starting lineup for some reason. That must feel bad.
Agreed, I am sure a few of those guys would require actual value to acquireI believe Ottawa were fairly pleased with Larsson in camp, so would probably prefer to keep him as their own #8 or #9D. If a lefty gets injured he may actually be the first call up.

Sometimes they will sometimes their opponents will, like every AHL team.Leafs AHL dmen are gonna get run over this season. Terrible for development.
You really thing Salo, Aho and Hutton are terrible? Good to know you don’t watch any other teams play. Time to have your guy Kyle trade for Leafs legend Jake Gardiner again, just to watch him go -5 in the playoffs again.Man that's a lot of terrible dmen.
Wait, you think they're not?You really thing Salo, Aho and Hutton are terrible?

More often their opponents will. Marlies were one for the worst defensive teams in the AHL. They probably need some defensive vets to not to terrible.Sometimes they will sometimes their opponents will, like every AHL team.

3D chess by Dubas....surplus of depth at forward?
You mean guys like Mete, Benn, and Dahlstrom….More often their opponents will. Marlies were one for the worst defensive teams in the AHL. They probably need some defensive vets to not to terrible.
Uh ya injuries happen, now they desperately need to make a trade to address it.You mean guys like Mete, Benn, and Dahlstrom….
We added some vet D for the AHL/depth but 2 of our 3 guys down there got hurt. 1 of them for the season. What were we supposed to do to prevent that?
They were poor last year, they have added depth and havesome injures to start the year which is why this thread exists.More often their opponents will. Marlies were one for the worst defensive teams in the AHL. They probably need some defensive vets to not to terrible.
Desperately???Uh ya injuries happen, now they desperately need to make a trade to address it.
Wouldn't be surprised if they traded a C prospect or a low pick for a meloche type.

Some Isles fans see a leafs thread and go "DEAR JOHN!?" and then just kinda lose all ability to talk logically. No horse in this one, but what could this actually mean? You’re making fun of a team hypothetically reacquiring someone they had three years ago?
