Some possible targets:
- Brad Hunt
- Kevin Connauton
- Max Lajoie
- Noah Juulsen
- Madison Bowey
- Gavin Bayreuther
- Dennis Cholowski
- Nicolas Beaudin
- Jacob Larsson
- Sean Day
- Lucas Johansen
I believe Ottawa were fairly pleased with Larsson in camp, so would probably prefer to keep him as their own #8 or #9D. If a lefty gets injured he may actually be the first call up.

He'd be a nice fit as a 10th-11th dman candidate like we're looking for.

Of course, he's in your team's actual starting lineup for some reason. That must feel bad.
Since when? He was sent down along with Grant Hutton. He’s behind Robin Salo, Sebastian Aho and Grant Hutton on the depth chart. Thus that would make him a 9th or 10th option. The scary thing is that he’s about dependable defensively as Justin Holl who’s getting consistent NHL minutes up there in Toronto.

Agreed, I am sure a few of those guys would require actual value to acquire

You really thing Salo, Aho and Hutton are terrible? Good to know you don’t watch any other teams play. Time to have your guy Kyle trade for Leafs legend Jake Gardiner again, just to watch him go -5 in the playoffs again.

It’s a broken record at this point, but the leafs need to cut ties with a big salary guy to st least breathe a bit with their cap.

I mean, if you're just talking about a bit of breathing room, a medium/small salary guy would do....but this is the choice that Dubas and team made.

That said, pretty sure we're talking about AHL level stuff here. Don't really need cap space for that.

3D chess by Dubas....surplus of depth at forward?

We're talking like....DEPTH depth. Not NHL depth.

More often their opponents will. Marlies were one for the worst defensive teams in the AHL. They probably need some defensive vets to not to terrible.
You mean guys like Mete, Benn, and Dahlstrom….
We added some vet D for the AHL/depth but 2 of our 3 guys down there got hurt. 1 of them for the season. What were we supposed to do to prevent that?

Uh ya injuries happen, now they desperately need to make a trade to address it.

Wouldn't be surprised if they traded a C prospect or a low pick for a meloche type.

They were poor last year, they have added depth and havesome injures to start the year which is why this thread exists.

Desperately???
Is anyone desperate to replace the guy who was #10 on their depth chart?
Yeah I’m sure they would prefer it. Especially considering they have a guy hurt on the big club and another one nursing a bad back. But it’s far from a desperate issue.

Rielly
Brodie
Muzzin
Giordano
Lilly
Sandin
Holl
Mete
Benn
Dalstrom

Now I know there are couple injuries to Benn, and Dalstrom, but regardless you are suggesting they need to move a big piece in order to acquire a what? #10?, #11? Maybe even a #12 D man?

That's ridiculous

No horse in this one, but what could this actually mean? You’re making fun of a team hypothetically reacquiring someone they had three years ago?
