Likely that the entire locker room is infected at this point. Will be the whole NHL soon. This variant is a bitch in terms of transmissibility.

Hope this wave peaks and burns quickly

Why are we still trying to stop the spread? League is a joke. These are elite athletes and all of them are vaccinated. Zero risk. Take a couple days off to deal with the sniffles and move on. Clown world
Now that you mention it, it is a very public view on just how good the vaccines are, or not.

Matthews already had it so he is immune. Throw Campbell in net and Matthews could be the canuckleheads all by himself. :sarcasm:
With this variant in particular, breakthrough infections are happening for those with immunity from being vaccinated and those with prior infection.

and there is no chance those people will catch Covid when they are out shopping. Everyone is back at work and at risk of catching Covid. A bunch of millionaires should be no different
There is a chance I will get in a car accident on the way to work in the morning.
That doesn’t mean I should drive down the highway in the wrong lane screaming YOLO.

Yes there are risks with regards to Covid in every day life. That doesn’t mean people should knowingly expose themselves to it and then pass it to their families.

Play through it because there is no better option.

"shut it down." achieves nothing all that does is give a bunch of millionaire athletes time off and they are NOT going to going to sit in their homes, they are going whatever they want be it get together and have their Christmas parties or book the first plane ticket to Mexico there there will be no isolation so shutting it down does nothing to stop or slow the spread in fact it could and likely would make it worse.

If they are on the ice you have SOME control over them, if you shut it down you can't control shit.

But also you can't just shut it down because you have TV contracts you JUST signed, that contract has to be filled that's what a contract is it's legally binding
