So thought this might make sense.

Leafs:
Montour

Ducks:
Leivo

Logic:
Both players who were developed slowly and are now breaking out.

Leivo was injured coming into the year, but since his return he has been dominant with 8 points in 9 games. Looks to be a future top 6 LW. Keep in mind he also scored 4 goals in 5 games last season during injuries and then wound up on the 4th line for the rest of the season.

Montour, looks to be a potential top 4 guy. Would slot onto Gardiners pairing to provide some stability defensively.

Thoughts?

The funniest part of OP is how "they both developed slowly" when Montour started actually playing HOCKEY like 5 years ago. Keep thinking though.

Why sarcasm here? Why some leaf fans continue to want Montour and other Ducks d-men? I thought leafs were fine?
Kapanen isn't enough and Leivo isn't even close.

Because Montour or Theodore doesn't get you Nylander. Kapanen is fair value wise. Maybe a small plus. Leivo is obviously not even close.

Well, Kapanen isn't fair to Ducks value wise. So what now? Pull some charts and do convincing like many times before? or stop?

Wow I didn't realize how over rated this guy is. Ducks have 5 top pairing D now? Jesus. He has 12 NHL games, him and Leivo are both breaking out and both unproven.

Does he have to be a top paring D to be worth a hell of a lot more than Leivo? When you are the only one with a dissenting opinion, odds are, you're a troll or a dummy.

Yep, not wanting to trade him for Leivo means he's suddenly a top pairing dman.

Everyone with a clue knows Montour is a much more valuable prospect than Leivo, that's not even remotely open for debate.
