What are you on about? He didn't lose it, the pass to him bounced off the referee and changed direction. There was literally nothing he could do.

I didn’t hear it, but he’s the same when he calls into the pregame show. A lot of times he’s right in his assessment, however, he needs to work on the presentation.

If you watch the other skilled teams like Tampa, you’ll notice how easily and consistently they get powerplays. Skill teams in general should be drawing more PPs.

The panel (Gord Miller multiple times) have talked about how the refs are scared to call penalties in leafs games because of how good their PP is (granted he said that earlier in the season). Some have also speculated the refs have a vendetta against our coach after he called them out in the past.

The reason is not clear but the intent is very blatantly to not give the Leafs powerplays.

I watch games every night and I do not think the refs or the NHL have a vendetta against the Leafs. Do they miss some? Sure, but it evens out over the course of the game and season. They can’t make up penalties just to give the Leafs a PP.
