I'm a Glendening fan. He'd be an upgrade on what Par Lindholm provides right now, although Lindholm is not a bad player. Glendening's game is more suited for the playoffs.

This is nothing. We have Lindholm and we have Gauthier at 4C. Both have been fine in the role for half or less than half the money.

That's a deal that could make sense for both teams.

For the Leafs, they get the cap relief they want all while upgrading their 4th line.
For Detroit, they take that Glenn cap hit and instead put it into a more needed position and replace Glenn with a cheaper guy. So it's like saving a million on Zaitsev.
