Lot's of games played for a draft eligible goaltender, which is always good for progression in a goaltender. Played for one of the worst WHL teams... like they were really bad.

Goaltenders are voodoo. Almost impossible to predict. He's got size with plenty of time to fill that frame.

Key are temperament and staying calm in a bad situation.

"He also shows a calmness and maturity that is rare in a 17-year-old goalie, especially when he was playing behind a weak Prince Albert team this season."

I'm good with it. Like the idea of adding a goalie somewhere in every draft or so if you can. Even if it's the fourth round, you just never know who is going to turn out to be good. So nice to have guys coming through the system.

• Scott had a busy 2016-17 season, appearing in 50 games for Prince Albert with a 12-31-3 record (3.69 GAA, .895 SV%, 2 SO).

• After being selected ninth overall in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft, Scott went 13-9-2 in his rookie season with a 3.24 goals-against average, .892 SV% and one shutout.

• Scott was named the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League’s Top Goaltender in 2013-14 after leading the Calgary Northstar Sabres to an Alberta Cup AAA tournament championship.

• Internationally, Scott represented Canada at the 2017 Under-18 World Championship and captured a gold medal with Canada White at the 2016 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (2.78 GAA, .900 SV%).

• Models his style of play after Canadiens goaltender Carey Price.

Fine gamble in the 3rd. Bad numbers, but there is way more to scouting goalies than that (look at Matt Murray's jr numbers). Great raw tools with a calm demeanor.
