As reported by the Buffalo News, a Sheriff’s Office statement doesn’t indicate where on the grounds the incident took place. A Green Day concert was held at the park that night, and while the park closed at 10 p.m., there is a campground located beside the amphitheatre.

Sounds like it was not on public roads.

Eichel was taken before Marner so there was only 1 Leaf choice possible.

It wasn't about the Leafs pick but rather about evaluating (as a scout) who is better between Eichel and Marner, where most believe its Eichel.

Of the few that believe that, I'm suggesting Hofford is on that list as he has known Marner well before he was even a London Knight.

Alcohol could be involved in both this and the gold cart incident..

Are you implying he is wrong? Eichel will always get taken ahead of him because he is a C, but as far as pure skill goes, neither has shown they are way ahead of the other yet.

They are pretty different players so "better" is in the eye of the critic.

According to Stephen T. Watson of The Buffalo News, Hofford, 53, is charged with driving while intoxicated, unauthorized use of a vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, conducting an unsafe lane change, and for his refusal to perform a breathalyzer test.

That seems like a whole lot of trouble Hofford finds himself in, and I can't believe this is sitting well with Lou Lam and Shanny that run a pretty tight ship and this is a real black mark against the organization.

If Leafs fired Hofford for his actions I wouldn't be surprised particularly if he is charged with the above.

fire hofford hire warren rychel ,,,lol .... hofford just lost a dream job ,but maybe he wasn't on a public road so he wont loose his licence..hard to scout taking cabs ....

No question outside of family members he might be his biggest supporter, and the reason why Hofford and Marner are linked together, and the originating source behind the Marner/Eichel debate.
