The tippers have been all alone. Not a very good job of marking them.

Right but the original point shots are going 5 feet wide. Instead of chasing the shots (and losing his net) Holtby could stay put and the let point shot go wide, giving himself a chance at any deflections. The third goal in particular was a slow deflection that could have been saved had Holtby not been chasing the point shot that was going well wide.

Holtby has always been an aggressive goalie alot of times his gambles pay off.

Yeah this isn’t going to end well. Playing hard but awfully inefficiently. Can’t blame effort.

Florida forechecking pushing the Caps toward their backhands. Very smart. They can’t get anything on their clears.
