If it makes Hawks fans feel any better, the Pens wasted Kahun on a week and a half long Conor Sheary comeback tour.
Pure cap dump with a deflated market + a guy with iffy skating is a no-go for a lot of teams since everyone wants smooth skating Defensemen these days.
He can't skate. That's always been his downfall. What happened to Maatta? Is he just an average d man now?
That would be a generous adjective. How's Maata's skating these days? Would you consider him slow?
Good news for the rest of the Pacific. Maatta gets beat outside twice a period.
fixed for youYou know your value is bad when you get traded for an ECHL player and 1/5 of your salary is retained
This was purely a cap move for Chicago, Maatta is still a quality, top 4 defenseman as the analytic numbers indicate.
He's an average defensemen at best. He sees the ice and all that, but his skating holds him back.
I wouldn’t want him in my top 4 if I had better options.fixed that for ya
Wow, Chicago literally dumped him for nothing.
I feel like Maatta is still a solid #4, so I'm not sure why he's being traded for literally nothing.
Bull.
Was Hawks best d-man in these past play-offs.
- by far -
Idiot trade by an even more idiot GM.
How does Stan Bowman still have a job?
Wasn't Morrison that kid with Asperger's who went like 3ppg in the playoffs once in Lethbridge? Man, that's a name I haven't heard of in a dog's age.
Brad Morrison is an ECHL level player
