I pondered whether this was taking it too far or not. My initial reaction was no. Then after some reflection I agreed with myself. If had some serious complications then that would be one thing but he appears to be healthy. It would be equivalent of making fun of somebody with chicken pox.

If it were ebola I'd agree, but it's the mumps yes it could put someone on their bed for days and recovery could take a while but it' s not something as bad as what happening in africa.

On a side note about rivalry, I suggested to my GF, (who is a Ducks fan as is her mom, and a dodgers fan) that she get me this jersey for xmas:

I tried to convince her it was Kershaw's jersey, she wasn't biting. she was complaining about the big ol kings logo on the right shoulder defacing dodger blue.
Sent her another pic this morning too explaining the logo is barely noticeable:
