Agreed, he is a career up and down player (last season is the first he wasn't sent to minors I believe) who suddenly scores a decent amount of goals at 27...chances of him being a late bloomer are low and more likely a one-off situation.

It might surprise people but there's not only russians doing that.

I don't know the guy enough to know but it's really strange that he knows his career season the year before his free agency. As a DG i would be very suspicious of a player like that.
