If he shoots at this speed for the next season at 8% success rate, he will still score 21 goals in 82 games. Solid second line winger, with strong 2-way game and effort.

I would be extremely surprised with 30.

Third and fourth line grinders who have never put up more than 14 goals in any season of their career, in North America or Europe, don't suddenly become 20%+ shooting phenoms in the NHL in their late 20s.

Johan Franzen is probably your best hope, but I suspect his 6'4"" power forward game is more of the late developing kind.

Nik Kulemin says hi.

Nik Kulemin says "I was 24 when I scored 30, not in my late 20s, and I had scored 27 goals in 54 games at 20 and 21 in 57 games in the KHL."

Very bad comparison...

If he shoots at this speed for the next season at 8% success rate, he will still score 21 goals in 82 games. Solid second line winger, with strong 2-way game and effort.

It would actually be 13 goals: 64 shots / 32 games = 2, multiplied by 82 = 164, multiplied by 8% = 13.12...

Nik Kulemin says hi.

What a terrible example.

First of all, Kulemin score 27 goals in 54 games in the KHL when he was 21 years old.

Secondly, Kulemin's career high since his 30 goal season 2010-11 was 15 last year. A very good example of why we shouldn't acknowledge one year of shooting luck as indicative of anything.
