Bigger. Badder. Better.

This was my mindset in building this team. I no longer wanted the notion of being a 'soft' or 'push-over' team. This team has the size, speed, grit, and skill to compete with the best.

We acquired some top tier talent in Shea Weber, David Backes, Daniel Alfredsson, Jason Garrison and Travis Zajac. We added skilled, gritty players like Rene Bourque, Jamie McGinn, Raffi Torres and Brad Richardson. Overall, we feel that we will be extremely difficult to play against.

Our special teams should be much improved as we have 3 cannons at the point on the powerplay in Weber, Garrison and Sami Salo. As well as adding a lot of good 2 way guys who can win face offs, battle, and kill penalties.

Overall we are very happy as a franchise, and hope to compete for Lord Stanley!

We feel with the trades we made, our team looks better, we have a great cap space to hunt for big name free agents in the off-season, our team looks better in both defense and offense we got bigger, we got hungrier and we look great. Vote :wild:[/FIELDSET]

GOALTENDERS
M.A. Fleury ($5,000,000)
Tomas Vokoun ($2,000,000)

we have the forward best line (Neal / Malkin / Kessel ) the best D pairing (Letang / Suter ) great goaltending with Fleury and Vokoun who will each play over 30 games. We have a great second line that plays good 2 way hockey and all the players on our third line played on the first and second line last year. While our fourth line is a bit weaker we think Matt Cooke will play great. finally our depth on D is great Gardiner and Gunner were playing top minutes in Toronto and they are now bumped down to the third pairing we think that we will win the cup

It sure isn't the prettiest line up i ever made but it is one of the most defensive one i made(i don't might many that is why). Look at the cup winning LA roster and compare it to this one. We added a top 3winger and improved our defnese.

Thanks very much Gaborik!!

I'll give you my sales pitch I guess, a top line of Marleau,Krejci, and Gionta had a lot of talent and scoring ability. My second line combines size an grit with the skill of grabovksi and Filppula. Next up my third line has 50 point scorer Steve Sullivan, 60 point center David Desharnsis, and Clarke MacArthur whose capable of 60. finally I think my fourth line is one of the best in the league; Wellwood and Sykora are both 45 point players
From last year and Gionta adds energy to the fourth line even with his little frame.

My defense combines offense and physicality with guys like Visnovsky And Emelin. Tyutin and Kuba are both very good two way defensemen and finally coliacovo and Leopold are just icing on a very good defense core.

Finally in goalie we have Niemi who has been to the finals before. Behind him is Clemmensen who did very well last season behind Theodore and even in playoffs.

The San Jose Sharks underwent a transformation this offseason, starting with goaltending. We finally acquired a goalie that we can win with, in Ryan Miller. On defense we added Norris trophy winner Erik Karlsson, along with Andrej Sekera and Dennis Wideman for a very deep and talented defense. Then on forward we added Martin St. Louis, PA Parenteau, Dustin Penner, and redid our 3rd line centered by Brandon Dubinsky. We feel we have an extremely strong team and have the capability for a deep playoff run.

Vote San Jose Sharks!

You never indicated to me that you accepted since you said you wanted a better and younger d coming back. Should of accepted via pm as I had to waive a player to fit it under the cap in which I did all the calculation but you never accepted. Oh well, if you can get kllr to accept it and for me to waive one player then I'd be ok with this trade.

Review:

A Great top 6 that is physical and can score at will, followed by a beauty bottom 6 that will grind other teams down. A big solid defence lead by the best D in the world and a great young goalie in net to back them up. This team is better than than the Boston team that won the cup last year imo and would be a force in the playoffs.

Good luck to everyone!
