It's going to be fun catching some games in Ontario. The Reign should have a good team again next season.

Unless he blows the socks off someone we won't see him for 2 years at least. Remember he's only 18 right now and turning 19 right around the start of training camp. He was a 30th not a top 5 pick.

Next year the greater Los Angeles area may have 3 teams engaged in playoff hockey. That is if the Ducks can get in.

He's expected to play in Ontario next season. He's making his debut in Manchester on Friday. Since he was drafted out of Europe, he can play in the AHL before he's 20. The Kings did this recently with Voynov and Loktionov.

Edit: Re-read your post. I think you meant in LA. My bad.

Yep it was about coming to the big team, but your bringing up one of the rules I hate so much. Having to send them back to Juniors if they can't make it with the big team. Now I don't want to gut Juniors but a team should be able to have 1 prospect that might be too good for Juniors play at the AHL.

I completely agree.

What do you guys think Kempe's ceiling is? Could he be an impact centerman for us in the future?

He plays every forward position. From what I see a hard-working forward 2nd line winger/ 3rd line centreman. He's got size and speed but I also expect him to have some playmaking skills because he plays in Europe where it's bigger ice and more time to make plays. I like that scouts see him as a player with a bullish attitude because that's just what we need.
