The fact that people bitch so much more about the former is absolutely nuts and shows some pretty clear bias. Better play driver, better scorer, less braindead plays on the ice.

On top of that, the problem is Hayes is looking this shit already and he's still signed for 4 more years after this one. If this is the garbage we're currently seeing, I can't even imagine how bad it's going to get as he progresses into his 30s.

Currently? JVR isn’t playing “great” but he hasn’t been anything even remotely like you’ve described either. We’ve already been over this and you’re still attacking the version of him in your head, instead of the version on the ice.

It won’t change a thing as long as your coach employs a system that doesn’t enable your players to succeed. AV thinks he’s employing a good system. Good coaches make the adjustment to fit the players he has.
