Karlsson spent the first 20 or so games adjusting and fitting in to the new team. After that, he started to get better and more dominant by the game. Then just as he found his groove, he got injured. Burns flourished with the pressure taken off himself by having another elite d-man on the team. He similarly managed to keep up an elite level of play even after Karlsson went down with injury. I'd be willing to bet that if Karlsson had kept up his pace prior to being injured, he'd be talked about in the Norris discussions. Karlsson was arguably better for a small portion of the season, but there are reasons for that. Assuming both play a full season with SJ next year, I'm pretty confident Karlsson takes the reigns as our best player. You said staying healthy helps so do you think Karlsson has been better this season when he's been healthy or mostly in the past?
