I'll never like Kane... But I'm going to compartmentalize that and get super pumped to add a really skilled forward to our top 6 that brings that elite talent and playmaking we do desperately need. And if his hip sucks, it's no risk as only a one year deal. Great move

I think there's still a huge spectrum of possible outcomes here in terms of what the player has left in the tank after this procedure. But I think this cements this season as the first in the rebuild where Detroit is acting like making the playoffs is not only a goal, but an expectation.
