This may not be a popular opinion with his suspension looming...but every year in the playoffs, Kadri shows that he has the most heart and fight on the team. He's probably our best defensive forward, he gets it done offensively, and he puts his 170 pound body on the line each and every time.

It has also become abundantly clear that Matthews does not deserve a letter, and rather than waiting and hoping for him to grow into our C, let's just bloody hope that he concentrates on being competitive on the ice before he gets to lead the locker-room.

Also, we've been without a captain for about the decade, so let's end the charade.

Give the C to either Rielly or Tavares. Both are outstanding players who show leadership and give a full effort every night, and are respected in the locker-room. Either guy deserves it. And give the A to Kadri - he's been a lifelong Leaf and he puts everything on the line for the team.

Let's reward guys who show the most fight and bleed for the team rather than tossing it to the likes of Bozak and Marleau.

This letter?

If we trade him to Edmonton, he won't have to worry about getting suspended during the playoffs, probably for the rest of his career.

I wonder what the odds are that the Leafs will look at dealing him in the offseason?

I thought Kadri's hearing with the safety review board was scheduled for Monday... but it looks like it might have already happened.

He needs to wear the letter “T” for traded. 2 years in a row he lets us down at the most important time of the year. Done with him.

It's weird that he'll go weeks without bringing any energy to the team but gets side tracked like this in the playoffs. We don't win or lose soley because of Kadri.

Im sorry, someone who doesnt have any self control and has decreased his teams odds of advancing in the playoffs two years in a row does not deserve a letter.

Kadri should have known better and it’s frustrating, but those officials deserve suspensions as well.. but of course for some reason it’s some huge secret and nobody knows if their truly held accountable, other then through hearsay.

You’re 100% right but he was useless in the regular season and 2 years in a row he gets suspended in the playoffs. Why keep him?

Being relatively expensive for the third line center role, showing a lack of maturity and consistency as a veteran player and declining regular season production are but a few reasons why Kadri may not be a good long term fit. The playoff suspensions would probably fit in the maturity category. But then again, what if he turns into a Brad Marchand type late bloomer?

Hanson and Meier were basically incompetent. Not so much for the Leafs losing but just allowing a shit show atmosphere to grow out of hand.

He’ll never be a Marchant. I like the way Kadri plays, but he’s dumb as a bag of bricks. Depending on what happens with the Marner contract, I’m more than okay if he gets moved.

What Kadri did was dumb.
It was NOT SELFISH

If you're upset he's gone a few games, why do you want him gone forever?

Kadri is the heart of the team. I want him to be a leaf for a very long time.

The MLSE allowed Kadri to lead the team, in a group stretch today. Someone posted the pic, he is a cult legend now amongst the players.

You don't trade that guy.
