trouba thinks he is doughty and wants similar money. I'm sure the jets would have signed him at 6x5 if trouba would have agreed. why on earth would the trade him if they can sign him for that. trouba wants nylander money 8aav. and no we don't want nylander for trouba.

trouba is good but I doubt the leafs want to get rid of kadri and his 4.5 mil contract for ~60 games of trouba at the price he'll be asking for.

Retstart Leafs offer after Kadri, rest is of no intresse.

Kadri would be a good piece if we could move Little at the same time, but Im not sure Kadri would be as a good in Jets as in Leafs, that guy bleeds Leafs and is the only one who shows some guts in the playoffs (Think he would be pissed moving to Winnipeg)

Maybe he doesn’t want to sign in Winnipeg?

Trouba is worth more in terms of both contract and return. Kadri is a good player, but the rest of those pieces aren't overly interesting. And while they would probably move him if they had a good deal in place, I would guess the Jets would prefer to keep Copp.

he is going to free agency after 7 years no matter where he may be traded otherwise the bridge and 1 year contracts wouldn't have been worth it.

I tend to agree that trouba is worth more in terms of return. However, he is definitely not in terms of contract. He's proven to be difficult to negotiate with and has a delusional sense of worth which will be problematic yet again during contract negotiations.

The leafs seem to be playing hardball with nylander. Could just imagine them delaying with trouba and his agent.

Still really like his game though

No thanks to the OP, not trading signed Trouba for Kadri.....no chance of that. Kadri is a good 2C but fills no big need for the Jets. Trouba fills a massive need. Easy no from the Jets.

  Yeah Trouba is going to sign with the Leafs for only $500,000 more then he's currently making now, Get real talk has it that Trouba has no desire to sign with any Canadian team. Heard that his Dad is banned from entering Canada. Sure that has something to do with it. Trouba probably signs with an East Coast American team.

Trouba isn't going to extend for 6m and not play in the US

Toronto cannot afford to give up Kadri and not get a centreman coming back, who's going to take his place, Gagner, Brooks, Lindholm, and please for the love of the sweet baby jeebuzz don't say Gauthier!

Andrew Copp is a industrious forward to be sure, but c'mon people he's no Zach Hyman

he said extended 6 million per for 5 years...
come on now dont move the goal posts
 Right because Trouba is going to sign for only $500,000 more then what he's currently making now, No way. What part of Trouba asking between $7 million to $8 million don't you understand? Doubt Trouba signs anywhere for less then 7 x 7 period.
