Good luck Shultz.

I'm extremely disappointed that it didn't work out. I hope he can find his game in another system. He had flashes of brilliance overshadowed by sloppy play and lack of sheltered minutes. He may do okay playing a specialist role with the Pens.

Thanks for getting our hopes up. Oh and Mcdavid. Without him, it truly wasn't possible.

I do wish him luck in Pittsburgh and hope he can get going but I don't see him as anything more than a bottom pairing guy.

All the best to Justin. I hope he goes to Pittsburgh and carves himself out a nice little spot on the PP with Crosby.

I actually hope he lights it up wherever he ends up...
maybe putting up 40-50 points playing 17 mins a night....
that will expose how poor our player development actually is....

Thanks for choosing us when you could have gone anywhere you wanted.

That's the only positive I've got really.

he (his agent) chose us because he would get top pairing minutes and first unit PP time, thus, inflating his numbers which gave him leverage in getting a 3.9mil salary.

Honestly, as a human being, I don't even blame him one bit.

If I had the opportunity to exploit my own overrated abilities to get a multi-million dollar contact then mail it in and do whatever I want all day after that, I would do exactly that.

But as an Oilers fan, I hate that move naturally.

Honestly, thank you for choosing us when you didn't have to.
I've been as frustrated with Justin's play as much as anyone, but he was a hot commodity when we acquired him and he had no intention of being a turd when he arrived. Things didn't work out - he's not the player we hoped he would be, but best of luck in Pittsburgh. Here's hoping you can still find what had the hockey world so excited when you were entering the NHL.

Thanks for being a classy guy and convincing the Pens to get us a 3rd rounder.
And thanks for helping us get all of these awesome prospect via leading the league in +/-.

I'm sorry, but this is a joke of a thread. I can't even find the humour in it with how disappointed I am in Schultz. The only former personnel that deserve this kind of thread are the ones that earned it. I'm down with giving props to a guy that gave it his all but the results weren't there, Schultz wasn't even close to achieving this. The only thing I hope for is that this teaches him to to start giving a ****. If he doesn't find some passion in his game he'll be out of the league as quick as his career began. And quite frankly, that's what he'll deserve. If he finds success elsewhere, it's because this gives him a massive reality check. Dude has some talent but is on the verge of wasting it completely.

Everyone here already knows that no need for him to prove it.

If Cam Barker can be a great KHL d-man then Schultz can be one too there.

Hope he finds his game. Wont forget when he won the award for the best dman in the AHL after only playing half a season there.

What could have been.

Ever think that Schultz is the happiest guy to be out of this disaster of a team and organization?

Like all professional hockey players, Just Schultz reads this site on a daily basis, and wishes to thank everyone for all the kind compliments and best wishes.

From a hockey side of things im glad hes traded and on a team that can help him out. You always want to see players play to fullest potential, no matter the team.

Schultz had upside and teased fans every pre season or the odd game in season where hed look great. I was fooled last pre season and thought he was going to turn the corner. When he tried on the ice, he was pretty good. I thought a new coach in TM would re motivate him too

Hes a good person so I wish him the best. Better for both sides for this to happen. Tear up the East Justin and destroy the Leafs.Habs when you play them

I talked a lot of ***** about Schultz but I'll always respect him for choosing the Oilers when he could've went to any NHL team he wanted. I really hope he can carve out a good career with Pit.

I remember he looked very good in the pre-season so theres a small glimmer of hope that there's still a good player there.
