This movie is struggling at box office (Still making profit in end run but is falling well short of expectations). Given its reported budget overall (300M) there is not much celebrating at executive levels

Near 60% drops in both week 2 and 3 of NA release

After 3 weekends it hasn't hit $200M and looks on pace to finish far behind Wonder Woman and even Suicide Squad and Batman vs Superman at NA box office

Hell this movie appears unlikely to reach Man of Steel NA gross

There was an article this week that detailed a lot of the issues behind the scenes :

www.thewrap.com/justice-league-zack-snyder-batman-v-superman-wonder-woman/

My favourite part, that they knew they needed more time especially with the reshoots, but WB Executives were worried about the delay impacting their bonuses.

I don't understand how such awful dialogue can even be written, let alone filmed and not edited out

Wonder Woman says "I'm a believer" in the bank scene before taking out the shooter

Superman says "I believe in truth. And justice too" (or something like that) instead of just immediately engaging Steppenwolf

It's like they're forcing positive messages in there for kids

I thought the best line of the movie was from Flash when he said they'd all cover for Diana if she killed Bruce

I watched it last night. I was planning on watching Wonder Woman, but other than that I have made no attempt to watch any of the DCEU films and only watched this because I had an expiring free movie pass (and even then it wasn't my first choice).

I gotta say: I didn't hate it. Yeah, parts of it felt rushed but when you're trying to fit a bit of storyline of 6 different characters into 2 hours, that's to be expected. The only thing I really didn't enjoy about the movie was Batman/Ben Affleck. Just based on reviews of the previous movies, with the exception of Wonder Woman, I didn't expect much from this and was pleasantly surprised.

Edit: I completely forgot I watched Man of Steel. Obviously it wasn't very memorable.

Watched this yesterday. More thorough review in the "Last movie you watched" - thread. In short, better than MoS, BvS and SS. Still lot of issues.

Wow this movie ends up being a "bomb" in many ways. It ended its theater run Monday and it is officially now the lowest domestic grossing DCEU movie with only $229M and also the lowest in global sales.

finally got around to watching it with full attention last weekend. I would easily slot it higher than Suicide Squad and Bv.S. I am surprised it did so terrible but with bomb after bomb I guess it is kind of inevitable that people wouldn't waste their time in a theatre asI sure didn't....instead I wasted my time at home lol.

The quality of this flick doesn't really matter if a significant segment of the movie-going population was just burnt out by the series and didn't care anymore. BvS was so bad for me that I never went to see Suicide Squad (sounds like that was the right call) or Justice League (sounds like a middle of the road movie). Wonder Woman was the exception given the extraordinary word of mouth and that my wife really, really wanted to see it, but that didn't translate remotely to wanting to see Justice League for either of us, and we're both regular movie goers.

That's the issue that DC is in... there's brand damage. Say what you want about Marvel or the low points of their universe, their worst apparently hasn't translated to fatigue or disinterest. Maybe that would've happened if the first Avengers had just stunk (which I think is the comparative for BvS, not Justice League, given the fact that the titans were all together in that one first), but there's a world of difference between a massive library having a few bad ones versus a small collection having a couple of stinkers.

Saw suicide squad the day it came out in theatres and it was genuinely the worst movie ive ever seen. A couple nights ago i started BvS and only could watch about 20 minutes of it before I got tired of it. I assume im not missing out on any great movie if i dont watch this?

No not at all. For me it fell into the category of : I didn't hate watching it but I will probably forget about it by next week.

Re-written into a dumpster fire. Although with how D.C. has handled their previous movies I'm not willing to give them too much credit for what SS could've been

ah got ya. if it was re-written into a dumpster fire then it would of been hilarious to see the original script... must have been napalm. Honestly watching the acting in SS, I don't think it had a chance of hitting that "could've been" tier.

I didn't see the hate either of those movie got when I saw them in theaters. I'm mean they weren't great by any means but I didn't think they're were awful.,,Then I watched them a second time, and started getting the hate. I couldn't even get through BvS the second time. SS I can at least put on as background noise though despite its many many flaws. MoS was awful too.

Wonder Woman was good though. And JL is nothing spectacular but watchable, especially when compared to the first 3 movies of the DCU.

IMO Wonder Woman continues to steal the show. JL was a disappointment.

To be honest, I didn't think JL was any worse than most of Marvel's Phase 2 outside of Winter Soldier and GotG. Though that really says more about how disappointing Phase 2 was overall than it says about how good JL was.

I completely disagree. The only redeemable parts IMO were when Superman was brought back and all hell broke loose initially (don't want to completely spoil it for anyone that hasn't watched it yet). I would rate it in line with IM3 and Dr. Strange but IMO most Marvel movies otherwise are at least comparable if not better. Now Wonder Woman on the other hand is one hell of a movie.
