Sherwood is a better player right now than both of those guys. Especially for Calverts role(If he is indeed out).

Just speculation from me but I dont think Calvert was on the ice for morning skate. Combined with obviously someone having to come out of the lineup for Sherwood to go in I'm thinking maybe Calvert isn't healthy.

I’m fine with Sherwood drawing in.

If there was a Byram/Newhook level prospect he was blocking that would irritate me, but Kaut is a couple tiers below that. Kaut will get another shot.

At least Sherwood isn’t a career AHL guy like we’re used to seeing. He’s 25 and is close to a split of professional games between the NHL and AHL.

As for the game tonight. I’ll say the Avs win 3-2. MacKinnon, Girard, and Compher get goals.
